Hoping someone out there might have some tips for me. Currently, I have a Windows 8 Media Center running a SiliconDust CableCard setup. Almost all the channels come in fine except for the following two cases:
HBO (501, 502, 503, etc) which we are getting bad pixelation on to the point the shows are unwatchable.
Showtime HD 563 and 569 the CableCard does not even see that I should get these channels. When trying to tune to them we just get a black screen. We get the SD versions of these fine, but the HD does not want to work. The Charter phone techs confirmed that we should be getting these channels are part of our package.
Tomorrow a Charter tech will come in person to work on these and so I am wondering if there are any specifics that I should have him look at.
Of course the first issue is making the wife acceptance factor low.
