I've been waiting on the "Spectrum" guide for what seems like forever,.. as this Passport guide is not much improvement over the SARA I remember as far back as the late 90's/early 00's.
I live off the HWY 280 Corridor in the 35242 B'ham, AL zipcode -- Around the Inverness - Brook Highland - Greystone - Highland lakes vicinity -- And know we're fed off the Montevallo (Leeds) Head End here.
Basically I just want to know if any has any clue when HD Autotune will be rolled out. I assume it will require the Guide Software to be updated, but does this mean it doesn't arrive until the largest Alabama market is updated to the Spectrum Guide software on the setops?
It's a really handy feature, and I feel that Charter is really lagging behind/dragging their feet on this kind of thing.
For reference I have 3 of the Explorer 8xxx DVR (silver) boxes -- and the one I just checked on (though they are all Passport guides) is a newer Cisco Explorer 4640HDC.
Any information, rough time tables, etc would be appreciated.
