My mother just bought a house in Tennessee, but neglected to check on which internet services are available. She was expecting that Charter would be able to move her existing service to the new house without problems. Unfortunately, the house is outside the service area for ALL ISPs, except satellite and mobile broadband (it doesn't even have WISP coverage).
The phone representative from Charter said that the nearest line is 500 feet away from the house, but that they would not run cable. I really, REALLY do not want to deal with mobile broadband or satellite. What are the chances that we could get them to run cable to the house? I need to know before my mom signs up for a 2 year contract with HughesNet.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
