Received new self-install modem kit (Arris TM822A) from Charter. Self install doesn't work.
I was direct from computer to the modem when I tried it. Just says page not found/can't connect to page type of thing.
I've tried rebooting, modem power cycles, turning on the modem and waiting then starting computer, etc.
Even tried it with a different modem I've used in the past with Charter. No go with that one either. I can get to the self install site with the modem I've been using.
Any suggestions why self install isn't working for the new modem, or what to try?
(Yeah, I know I can call but that's not really the point. Charter gives self install instructions, so it should work. Why doesn't it?)
