For about a year now, I have had random internet drops. Sometimes it would only be once a day, other times multiple a day. I just got off the phone with support and they have a tech scheduled for Thursday but I want to know what I should be anticipating may be the issue.
Support tried to tell me that it was my WiFi was congested and wanted me to change the channel. When I explained to support that it also occurred on my wired devices, they said they would send a tech.
I have attached my status page and event log for my TM1602.

[Other] Did Ask Spectrum's live human chat remove its ETA times?
I don't see them anymore. They used to show up like a few weeks ago. Now, they say something like "We are currently experiencing higher than usual wait times..." I had been waiting for a human agent since 12:45 PM PDT so far. I even asked the chat AI bot on an ETA, but didn't get any. Maybe I should retry until after midnight PDT to wait less. :(
Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

[HSI] Spectrum account showing incorrect modem
I have the E31T2V1 modem, and sometime within the last week or two the modem section under my account now indicates the manufacturer of my modem is Motorola, and is showing a picture of the Arris SB6183. The "Get More Device Info" link under the support section still links to the correct documentation for the E31T2V1 modem. Just thought it was strange that the modem manufacturer and associated modem picture would change out of the blue when I haven't made any changes to my account (changing modem, upgrading tier, etc.).

New service. Long driveway, off grid. Looking for some solutions
Hi,
Currently I am have a bonded dsl from frontier. The service never works properly. The bonded line connects about 10% of the time.
They ran a buried line from the pole to the house. It is around 1100 feet.
Spectrum quoted me 7k for the install. They wanted to run a tap close to the house because of the long driveway. I asked if I can run the coax and he said no. I asked if they can use the current line, I believe it's rj11 and they said no.
So I was thinking of putting the cable modem down by the street in a waterproof box. I do not have power so I would use a small battery and solar panel.
Then I would use a converter to send the connection over the rj11 cable.
Any help with be appreciated.
Thanks!

[CATV] Spectrum deleted multiple channels in push to CableCard - Tampa
On Sunday morning 8/9 a new channel map was sent that moved, and deleted channels. Essentially all the higher numbered channels were deleted including 1003 to 1373. Both my TiVo boxes with CableCards have messages that list the changes.
The Spectrum web-site channel guide still lists the deleted channels in the range 1003-1373. The channels do carry the programming. Since the Spectrum channel map has deleted the channels, my TiVos dutifully removed all guide data for deleted channels. I have been forced to use the low definition channels because TiVo can only be scheduled to record programs by name on channels with guide data.
I have contacted Spectrum support and they tried to ‘refresh’ the CableCards. They had me reboot the tuning adapters and TiVos. Channels are still in deleted status. Now I’m waiting for a call from Spectrum CableCard support which 'may take a few days’.
Edit 8/12: I changed the title now that it's clear that the channels deleted were duplicate HD channels. Some Spectrum channel listings still show these channels as high definition and the corresponding low numbered channels as SD. This has not been true for some years. I also missed that my post was a duplicate of another post in the group BHN. Since I've never been a Bright House Network customer, it did not occur to me check that post and I still don't understand its title.

Intermittent Internet/High Uncorrectables on Modem
Hi All,
I have cable internet in the Orlando area. I am having issues where the internet goes in and out intermittently at different times during the day. When this issue happens the uncorrectables count on my modem jumps up in the higher channels.
This issue has been going for several weeks, and happened a few months back.
March 2020 - Tech came out and identified signal levels were too high and put a -6db attenuator on the line to bring the power levels from high 15s to 7s. This fixed the high uncorrectables and intermittent internet for a few months.
July/August 2020 - Issues started coming again, the uncorrectable started coming and I notice the power levels were now in the -13/-14dbmv range. I removed the -6db attenuator which brought this to -6/0 dbmv range. However I still had issues.
Tech was sent out who re-terminated one of the ends and it seemed to be fixed for a day and the issues starting occurring again. One thing to note is that through the day the power levels fluctuate from 0dbmv to -6/7 dbmv usually around 3/6 PM when it get hot outside or early in the am I see the uncorrctables start coming in and the internet becoming intermittent.
Generally every 10 minutes when it starts I see 200+ uncorrectables every 5-10 minutes and sometimes jumping to 100,000 out of no where.
I have tightened all connections and checked for loose connections that could cause ingress. The current set up is Tap --> cable --> outside junction box --> barrel connector --> cable --> wall plate --> cable --> modem (I've even tried a new modem)
Also all ends of the cables from the tap to the inside to the modem have been re-terminated. No splitters or anything just straight barrel connections. The only correlation I see is the fluctuating power levels.
Currently there are no errors in the event log like T3/T4 errors.
Attached are screenshots of the modems status page.

[att=2]
Every time a tech is sent out they re-terminate the connections and the problem persists. I'm starting to think it may be past the tap and on the spectrum end? The hard part and im sure it is for the tech as well is that this happens at random times, so when the tech is here they don't see the issue. Any thoughts?

Echo Home Networking
My 85 yr old mother is on Spectrum in the Tampa Bay area. When we set her up, it was BrightHouse and Phone/TV/Internet was actually cheaper than just Phone/TV. It's gone up substantially so if anyone has any thoughts on getting the price down, I'd appreciate them. Whenever I call, all I get is reduction of services, even if I threaten to leave.
Anyway, one of my teenage kids was present during the install and the tech asked if we wanted Echo Home Networking. My kid said yes and my mother doesn't mind the $3 per month charge. In keeping with my screen name, should I look to throw a router behind the Spectrum equipment solely to avoid that charge?

[Telephone] Battery backup beeping every 15 minutes
Just got a battery backup for my Spectrum VOIP service installed by a Charter technician. It is a CyberPower BB24V1U. Can't find the manual for it and none was provided. It is beeping every 15 minutes. There are 3 amber lights on the front labeled Status, Fail, and Mute. Status is blinking on and off, Fail is always lit, and I haven't tried hitting the Mute button to mute, because I want to know what is happening.

[Other] Got a rough estimate of 2-$3000 for them to run Cable 3000ft .
So I live 3.5 miles in the country from the nearest town. And I only get Frontier internet for the last 9 years 2 MB . Theres a State Rte about a mile from were I live an theres 5 house between me and the closes known cable customer. I checked there address and they get the 940mb package offers. So I called customer service and told them I could pay at least 10000 dollars for them to run a line to my house . So they put a ticket in to the construction team and said they call me in like 2 weeks . I heard nothing 2 weeks later so I called and asked about my ticket and I talked to someone from the construction site and explained my self and told them I really need betters speeds cause my 4 kids start school and will be home schooled for 3 of the 5 day weeks and Frontier is not cutting it. She told me that someone was working on my case and checking into it. So today I got a call and was asked if I was still interested in getting cable and that we live 3000 ft and they will pay the first 1500ft which is usually 3000$ and i might have to pay around 2-3000$ And wanted to know if he can go ahead with the survey So I said so it might be 4-5000$ dollars he said it could be. He also said there trying to expand in to more areas . So of course I said yes and they call in 7 days with the finale Estimate .I just wanted to know if I should get my hopes up (CAUSE THEY ARE ) or maybe theirs a mistake but we do live more like 3300 ft . So i called my brother who was getting flyers for the 940mB plan in town. He called them and said they would have to come an install fiber to the house from the pole in order to get it. So I know the GIG is in the area cause this State Rte goes right through his town. Im wondering if I will get the same option or since Im a new run just get old lines either way ill still be happy . I just hope its not some sick joke being played on me or someone screwed up but Like I said for my kids sake I was willing to pay 10gz. I just hope Spectrum comes through on there word cause this would be a Godsend for us on this road with kids .
Thanks Ill keep you all updated what goes down!

[Speed Issues] Upload issue and by the time truck comes it resolves itself.
I pay for 200 down/10 up line. I have so far had 2 different truck come without resolving the issue. 1st one change something in the box as he saw issue with the line and second didn't see any issue but changed out the modem. Yet i am currently getting 200.48 down and 0.43 up. I can't see the logs as spectrum new modem locks out the ability to do it. Should i try to escalate the issue or calling cs tech support my only real option?
I checked at my cox line that comes in to the house by connecting it directly to the modem and modem to my laptop to eliminate router and same speed i got as with router. Any suggestion i can try?

[Other] Why I cannot access Spectrum website?
FYI, I am not and have never been a Spectrum customer at anytime in the past. I used to a TimeWarner customer but that was in the 1990s (ended 1999). I'm currently using a different ISP (WOW) for years.
I am considering different cable/Internet services with Internet and cable bundle options and, for some unknown reasons, I am not able to access the Spectrum website. I get this "Access Denied" message when accessing the website as a curious customer.
Any idea? Something that I am not aware of?
Thanks.

[Speed Issues] Spectrum in Badin, NC - packet loss and can't get help
I'm trying to get Spectrum to help me with a problem I'm having. I live in a pretty rural area but everything was fine til about a week ago. Started noticing delays in my online games, latency spikes. Ran pingplotter several times, node 3 keeps spiking and sometimes I see dropped packets.
I contacted them on twitter which is how I've been getting help the most effectively in the last year or so. They told me they would forward it to their engineers. 2 days later, I asked for an update and they said a tech was in the area and marked the ticket closed. I explained I was still having problems, showed my most recent results and they said they were pinging the modem and everything looked fine despite my live test showing the same problems. I can't get them to help me and the tech was lying about pinging my modem. There's no way that they were not seeing issues. Generally when it rains, the internet goes down off and on til it stops as well. What do I do in this situation?

[Speed Issues] Paying for 1 Gig speed, actual speed varies from 15 to 65 MBPS!
So I'm supposed to getting 1 Gig service, but getting nowhere near that. Average is 65, but goes down to 16 MBPS. A few weeks ago, a Spectrum tech tested out everything on the inside and replaced the cable modem and also some connections. Couldn't find anything wrong, but he indicated that my older router was likely the problem. So I replaced it with an Asus state of the art router, RT-AX86U, that I just hooked up this morning. Didn't matter. When I called Spectrum this morning (I didn't know then about the dip to 16), support guy said that 65 is in the ballpark. Can they get away with this when I'm paying for 1 Gig?????

High latency every ~1 hour
I've been going absolutely crazy trying to troubleshoot this for a few days now.
I'm on Gig internet in San Antonio, TX, but I'd noticed extremely slow upload and a lot of packet loss, only to find out that I had been issued a Hitron E31N2V1. So I decided to swap that out with a Netgear CM1200 and for the most part, speeds have been great and no more packet loss!
But now I seem to have the weirdest problem of my connection getting extremely high ping for about ~3 minutes every hour and five minutes or so (shown in the PingPlotter picture), to the point where I can predict when it's going to happen. In a household of 5 people, this kind of high latency every hour is killing anything we're trying to doing or play.
Our current network set up is the coax going to the CM1200, that's wired to a RT-AC66U B1 flashed with the latest version of
Asuswrt-Merlin. There is also an ethernet that goes upstairs connected to an unmanaged switch for a cable connection to everyone upstairs. Have not checked the connection to the coax outside the house however.
Thankfully I am now able to log in to the modem at least and see the connection status, only to find that apparently my down/upstream are both only Partial service, as well as seeing multiple "Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance opportunities received - T4 time out" errors in the event log.

So now after looking around on the internet for a while, it seems some others have had similar problems with the CM1200 as well. So is this a fault of the modem, do I need to request a tech to come check this out, or is this something else entirely on my network?
