[HSI] MN L-Charter Updates?
Curious from anyone with inside information if they know of any potential info as to what updates may be hitting MN.
As with most of the footprint, we received the 100/10 upgrade in Dec 2017, but neither the rate card nor the Ultra plan have changed since either with no word from CS or local store as to coming ultra package.
As I've read as of late of areas getting D3.1 in prep for 1Gbps, just curious if 3.1 is getting green lit here soon, for potential 400Mbps ultra or any other updates people may have heard.
[Also adding in, I've seen a decent amount of Spectrum trucks rolling locally so it seems they are fairly active in plant upgrades or service calls, atleast more than normal]
Thanks in advance!

It’s happening on all 3 of my DVRs. Resetting didn’t help.
Not sure what this means or whether it’s a issue specific to my boxes or area or what.
Has anyone else experienced this and / or have a possible solution?

[CATV] On Demand Issues - WorldBox 210-H
I’ve noticed a problem playing on-demand programming on our WorldBox 210-H STBs running New Spectrum Guide.
We can start playing a movie or other OD programming and be able to fast-forward, rewind, pause, etc. However, as a movie progresses, those functions stop working including the Exit button. This isn’t a case of the functions being disabled, rather none of the buttons work at all. The only way to exit the programing is to press the DVR button or the Guide button on the remote.
This happens on all 3 of our WorldBox 210-H STBs and remotes. I’m able to the duplicate the problem with HBO OD and Showtime OD. There is no problem playing content that was recorded with our DVRs.

[Other] Spectrum app
Anyone else been having issues with picture quality on the Spectrum TV app lately? I've been using the app on my roku and iphone and lately it has been awful at times. There is nothing wrong with the internet speeds at the time it happens. Last time it was bad I ran a speed test and had 451Mbps down 21 up. I'm glad I mainly use my Tivo's but had thought about using my Roku's all the time, but now with the latest issues I'm having second thoughts.

[CATV] Cinemax Dropped from Gold Plan
The rate card now shows:
SPECTRUM GOLD (Includes Spectrum Silver, Digi Tier 2, TMC, Starz, and StarzEncore - check your local lineup for availability)
SPECTRUM SILVER (Includes Spectrum Select, Digi Tier 1, HBO and Showtime - check your local lineup for availability)
I just was on a chat with Ask Spectrum and they told my if you were on Gold you are grandfathered in for Cinemax. However, they could not say how long this would last since nothing is ever permanent with Spectrum.

Tips for getting lower rates
My grandparents have been complaining about their bill being too high for like a year now. I told them to do the whole "threaten to cancel" and ask for a different package deal but alas, they just recently handed me their bill and asked for me to "take care of it".
They have been been paying $184 for basic internet (200/10) and basic channel line up plus 3 receivers. After procrastinating for about 3 weeks, I just called today. Told the lady I'd need to get a lower rate or I'd have to cancel. After a long hold period she came back with only being able to lower it by $15 and then after 3 months I'd be able to move to a different package. Something about me being on a legacy Time Warner account. I told her to go ahead and cancel and put the date at the end of my current billing period. I thought this would transfer me to the retention department but to my surprise, she barked out the confirmation number and then hung up.
So now I'm trying to figure out where to go from here. I assume that a sales associate might call back and try to retain, problem is they'd be speaking to my grandparents and not me, my grandpa can't hear and my grandma can't carry much of a conversation due to alzheimer's. If it does get cancelled and service dropped, can I just set up new service after that or is there a waiting period, or could I perhaps use a different name on the account?
I do have a local ISP that does 100/100 fiber for $70 a month, of course they don't use the internet and have to have Fox news which is only streamed on hulu and youtube tv (both $50 a month or so). So even that option is a little high compared to the $90 a month plans for new customers offered by both ATT and Spectrum. So tips? This whole issue is quite lame -__-
Edit: on second thought, the $90 "new customer rate" doesn't include the broadcast fee or the fees for receivers. That included puts it at nearly $130 a month, so I might as well just go with my local ISP ($70 WITH tax), and then grab one of the online streaming services for $50 a month.

NHL Center Ice/MLB Extra Innings HD feeds added in DFW at least
I noticed Charter has added GAME 1-14 in HD on the world boxes at least I am guessing they are forcing the subscribers to get a MPEG4 capable box to get the new HD feeds as it seems GAME 1 and 2 are still in MPEG2 HD. Not sure if they are discontinuing the SD feeds for the packages or not.
I am guessing NBA League pass will be upgraded before the start of the season as well.
This change is the latest I have seen to standardize the HD offerings across multiple areas.

Connectivity issues with Hitron E31N2V1 modem
I recently upgraded to Spectrum's 400/20 tier, about 2-3 weeks ago. They made me get a new modem which is the Hitron E31N2V1. I've been having connectivity issues with this modem since first setting it up. I work from home so I'm on the computer a lot. I'm seeing the modem seemingly go to sleep for 60 seconds or so several times a day. I get the "establishing connection" message and connections hang on two different computers until the internet comes back. I'm also completely losing the internet once or twice a day where the Online LED on the modem turns from dark blue to light blue (although I've seen where I have full connection at times where the LED is also light blue so I'm not sure what the color difference means). Both my desktop and laptop computers give me the "resolving host..." message and sometimes if I wait long enough the router light turns red.
All of this only started happening after I upgraded and got the new modem and separate router.
I was reading another post on here from June where someone said these modems have the Intel Puma chip in the them and that the person seeing problems with their Hitron was told to try to get a Broadcom chipset modem.
Can someone confirm whether or not the modem is likely my issue and if it is what modem I should try to get. I've had TWC/Spectrum for about 10 years at my house and it's only after getting this modem that I've been having these kinds of problems so it seems pretty clear to me what the issue is....

Spectrum Mobile Agreement change
Spectrum Mobile agreement is changing and the new changes to the agreement take effect on October 25, 2019. Under the new agreement all videos are going to be downgraded to 480P where under the old agreement it was only downgraded after your passed the 20GB data cap that lowed your internet speeds. I wonder if their will be an available paid option to bypass the new restriction just like Comcast Mobile has.

[Speed Issues] Spectrum modem resets/restarts intermittently, recurring issue
Hi all,
I've had Spectrum service for about three years now, and over the last year or so have had sporadic issues with my modem (an Arris DG1670) restarting itself and losing my internet connection. When this first started happening, I had several calls with Spectrum and several techs out to check things out (this was fall 2018). They ended up replacing some wires outside of the house to the line, and a service truck did some work outside as well. I don't recall the problem going away, but something corrected the issue to where it was less frequent and more tolerable and I did not feel the need to look into it further at the time.
Fast forwards to now, and the problem is happening intermittently but regularly. Sometimes only a couple times a day, sometimes a couple of times an hour! I'm a student with lots of online assignments, work from home, and play some games online so paying for internet service that isn't reliable and consistent is very frustrating. I am scheduling a visit with another tech, but would like some third-party feedback on these issues as well. I am attaching some logs from the modem, pardon my sloppy blackout attempts of the MAC address.
Other pertinent info: I have Spectrum internet service only in North Carolina. The neighborhood has plenty of trees and squirrels, so that's an obvious issue but I can't help but feel it's not just the infrastructure at fault here. House wiring is less than 10 years old, and the line goes direct from the outdoor box to my modem. I understand that this modem (again, an Arris DG1670) is a bit dated and features an Intel Puma chip that has some known issues. Modem is on a bookshelf with plenty of ventilation, but does feel rather warm all of the time (not hot). Coax connections feel secure, and power has always been connected via a surge protector. Resets occur even when running modem to power outlets across house using an extension cord. Modem is set up in bridge mode (wireless radios turned off) and run to a Linksys EA6350 router that has current firmware. The router has a number of wireless devices that connect to it (two Macbooks, two cell phones, two Roku units, two game consoles, SONOS spearker) as well as an ethernet connection to a PC and another SONOS. Resets occur even if router isn't used and a single device is connected to modem via wireless. When connection is working, download/upload speeds meet or exceed what I'm paying for and multiple devices can stream Netflix, play a game, and browse the web with no issues. Interestingly, the resets sometimes (not always) happen when a wireless device (namely a Macbook or cell phone) is suddenly woke from sleep while the network is otherwise in active use (opening a Macbook while streaming netflix, checking text messages while playing an online game, etc). I just noticed that the power on the Downstream logs is lower in my screenshots than it was a couple days ago while I was looking into this, but the issue has occurred with both lower and higher power readings.
At this point, I would just cancel my service and change to the other provider in my area (AT&T), but I'm moving in a couple months and don't want to deal with the hassel (though I suppose I could likely transfer the AT&T service). I've spent way too much time reading about other's issues that are similar. It seems some solutions for others have been using a different power outlet, replacing the router, replacing the modem, disabling IPv6, updating firmware, checking coax connections, removing splitters, having cables replaced...I've certainly tried some of these to no avail. Again, I am starting a service ticket with Spectrum but would like any feedback you all have based on the information I've provided. Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback. Thank you!

[Other] Spectrum in South Dallas area?
I currently have Uverse Internet 75mpbs down. I'm tired of slow wifi when browsing on my phone. I see on the AT&T forums that AT&T's equipment and ios devices don't play well. I have to turn my wifi off and use my cellular data in order to get decent browsing speed.
I am considering giving Spectrum a try. Are things better than the old Time Warner days? I used to have TW and would have very inconsistent speeds (wired to my desktop). The Internet would go out at least once a month. It was very frustrating. If it hasn't gotten better I'll just stick with AT&T and use my LTE as much as I can.
Thanks!

SB8200 / Charter Spectrum serving invalid config TFTP?
I just tried upgrading my Charter Spectrum old modem to a new Arris SB8200 modem (DOCSIS 3.1, 32x8), which is listed on their qualified modems page (although as "Minimally Qualified").
The modem shows the captive portal page, and when a Spectrum customer service rep tries to provision the device, it reboots & starts syncing, but never connects, showing this error in logs:
10/02/2019 09:17 68000900 3 "TFTP file complete - but missing mandatory TLV;CM-MAC=f8:f5:32:f1:XX:XX;CMTS-MAC=00:01:5c:68:ec:4d;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.1;"
It looks like Spectrum is sending an invalid config file to the device; has anyone seen this before?

[Speed Issues] High latency & packet loss - how to troubleshoot with Spectrum?
I've been having off-and-on issues with my Internet performance. Without fail, when I notice problems and check my tests here, I see high latency and packet loss. I would say this happens every 1-2 days for a couple of hours. Last night, it was worse than normal (Internet was virtually unusable) and lasted about 4 hours, which is unusual.
During this time, when I tried to run the speed test, I got a "Browser could not reach any server" error message. On the old line quality test, I got an error message saying my IP address is not pingable. And on Spectrum's own speed test, I got a "latency test error - could not connect to the test server." When performance improved a little bit, the tests all ran again. However, on one of the speed tests here, the test failed during the upload part and I got the error message: "During upload the measured speed went to zero and stayed there error:1."
All tests are working now (and were before with the same setup), so the suggestion that an anti-virus product, browser extension, or firewall is getting in the way seems unlikely. I don't have an anti-virus app, in any case. I have an ad-blocker Chrome extension, but it excludes this site. And my firewall is just the default out-of-the-box setup with eero.
Spectrum is sending a technician out tomorrow, but I'm worried that everything will be working great when he's here and he won't do anything. Any tips on how to communicate the problem and troubleshoot it? I have my own equipment, so Spectrum isn't able to look at the modem info themselves (although I can). And they are totally uninterested in my smokeping, line monitoring, line quality tests, etc. Any advice would be appreciated!
