Here in St Louis, the 30meg to 60 meg to now 100 meg, I wanted to find out what my Ultra 100/5 will be changing to.
Confirming today with Heather from Louisville, KY call center, ALL Ultra (100) customers will move to a free upgrade of 120/5. (effective now) Unfortunately the upload did not change :(
A self-reboot of the modem will not work, Heather rebooted the modem for me with no change. She came back and had to enter a "code" to get the modem to 120meg download. Charter will hate me, but the Ultra customer's will need to call in and get the code entered.
I am hoping, that after all the 30meg customer are moved up to 100meg Charter will see the affect on their system. IF it can handle the new 100meg users, then something needs to be upgraded even more for the Ultra customer. Paying $102.99 for 120/5 vs 100/4 does not make much sense if money is an issue. My thoughts .
