I recently moved into an apartment and called charter to get my hsi hooked up. There's no cable outlets in this particular apartment. The contractor told me it was outside of his job to install an outlet and that I would have to deal with someone in "construction." I called charter when he left and they said it would be a little while before his notes were updated and they would call me when they found something out, but the lady did seem quite puzzled as to why he didnt do the install. I know charter has a reputation for being subpar in my area.
Is it true the standard tech can't run new lines? From what I've read the contractors are paid by the job, and its Saturday, and the tech wasn't the friendliest of people. Surely this won't turn out to be one of the nightmares I've read about...
