I've been having on and off issues with sound cutting out and heavy picture pixelation even after replacing the converter box twice. Now having switched to Charter HD the problem continues. HD channels have audio popping in and out (sometimes one syllable - sometimes whole words). The picture will cut in and out for a split second every five to ten minutes. Sometimes the picture will cut out completely (heavy static and no sound).
There have been no internal changes to wiring since the house was built over ten years ago. Line comes in from the pole to a splitter which feeds two TVs (one with box/one without) and the modem.
Any ideas as to what could cause this? I have yet to call for a tech since my hunch is the problem is at the head end (typical for Charter).
