So the Charter tech came to my house the other morning to install Internet+Phone. A few minutes in he told me that DISH had cut Charter's wires from the home coax network and that Charter would have to run a line directly from the outside box to the room where the modem will be placed (we're talking the other side of the house on another floor: hundreds, maybe thousands, of square feet).
After days of dodgy support answers, we finally got a call saying that they'd talk to a local dispatch and see if this was possible, when it would happen, and how much it would be (covered under the installation fee or more)
Anyone want to tell me now if I'm forever doomed to DSL?
