Charter has recently gone all digital and now requires a set-top box to get a signal from a coaxial cable into the TV.
Previous I just hooked up my cable to the TV to get the small number of "over-the air" channels like NBC, ABC, FOX, PBS, etc.
I really don't want a set top box at all. I was reading in a post where someone was advocating a PC set-up to avoid a set-top box on TVs.
In the past I've had Windows Media Center as my guide and DVR so I'm a bit tech savvy when I know what direction to go. (I have a PC with a cable card and have an HDMI out running to my living room TV.)
How would you go about using your PC to get the digital signal now?
What software would you recommend?
