Just saying, I'm not really familiar with ISPs, so I need a bit of help here..
Okay so before, my family had Charter and I was told we were paying $400 a month for Internet/TV/Phone plans altogether, which was quite expensive for an average internet speed. We decided to then switch to ATT U-Verse with the complete plan as well, and that brought down our monthly cost to around $300 but it also made our internet speed suck even more.
I am quite the gamer if that info is necessary, so internet speed is a must.
Note: These monthly expenses were after the 12 Month Promo. The websites only give you prices during promo, does anyone know how much each plan exactly is after promos?
I suggested we switch back to Charter with less TV channels and a better internet plan because barely anyone watches TV anyway.
Now, is it worth it to move to Charter? Is it possible to actually go below $300 monthly? If it is, what plan would that be? The 18Mbps from ATT is ridiculously slow, and it's 2x slower than advertised. I care more about upload speed than download, and I know most ISPs don't offer a spectacular up speed but ATT's is just horrid.
If I could, I'd just seriously go for FIOS Verizon but the freakin' limited service is annoying as my only choices are Charter/DirectTV/ATT/TimeWarner. My cousin in the east coast pays as much as we do but has 90Mbps down. Why are all the good ISPs over there? I live in La Crescenta, USA, 91214. Any advice is much appreciated!
Thank you!
