This is just bad business. I've been after Charter for years trying to get internet. About 5 years ago, they finally came down my road. (Our road touches a US Highway). The only problem? Instead of going 2 miles down my road, they only went 1.5 miles! (I think just to spite me). I have attached a picture of the map of my location.
Point A is where the Charter service stops.
Point B is just past my house (where Google shows my address to be).
The distance between the two points is less than 1/2 mile.
The red circle is my house.
The green circles are houses that have called Charter and shown interest in Charter.
This drives me crazy!
Any suggestions? I've currently got Verizon Home Fusion which is awesome compared to dial-up. However, Home Fusion has data caps and is super expensive ($120/30GB or $90/20GB monthly). Between what I pay for Dish TV and Verizon Home Fusion, I could get phone, internet, and TV (with DVR) from Charter and save about $75-$100 a month with Charter! I've talked with the neighbors about it too and everyone wants it. However, Charter won't move and they said if I wanted it, it would cost me $13,000! UGH!
