6 months ago my downstream power levels were at 0 dBmV and the upstream power levels were around 44 dBmV. Happy days.
Things have slowly been getting worse and today I'm seeing -12 to -14 downstream and edging closer to 50 upstream.
I have started experiencing occasional modem reboots. It's not just the modem though, the TVs are showing red power levels too and getting some glitchy pictures from time to time.
I have replaced the splitters (twice) and also changed the modem (from SB6141 to SB6183) to make sure it isn't an issue with anything here.
Bright House re-wired our house about 18 months ago (thanks Gary!) so the coax is all new-ish. The line coming in is split with a 2-way splitter. One goes to the modem, the other goes to a second 3-way splitter for the TVs.
How do I proceed from here? Is this now bad enough where I can report a fault or are they going to tell me it is not a problem?
