I am tired of overpaying for TV (because my wife loves it and won't cut the cord I am stuck). I currently have Charter internet so I looked and I can save $83 a month combining my internet and cable. I chatted and signed up for install and the tech got here today and said sorry I have no cablecards and we do not support them in this area. He said if we were in STL it would be no issue. I let him go as clearly this was going nowhere. I then called customer service and they said well the tech knows better than we do so they cancelled the cable order. I am now on a hunt for the truth. I know the FCC mandate says they have to support it but do they actually buck it in some areas? I am in a small town southwest of STL, one of few in the state they have service. My internet is DOCSIS 3.0 and rocks so they have invested in this area on that end.
How do I get to the bottom of this? Otherwise my TiVos go back to Amazon and I look for another route. TIA
