Having a problem with really high pings on a few game servers going into the 200s during the evening. (I'm in western mass by the way, with the 30/4 plan) The games in question are a few games on steam, though it happens on both valve and privately owned servers that are completely unrelated. All websites are fine, along the majority of other servers. I spoke to a provider of one of the problem servers and he told me it was charter overloading its level3.net servers causing the problem and showed me this tracert from the server to me.

I've filed a support ticket with valve but haven't gotten a response yet, but it seems to me its probably a problem with Charter, not them since it happens on privately owned servers as well. What I was wondering is should I bother contacting charter to see if they can do something, or do I just have to sit on my hands till something gets fixed?
