Currently using the Ultra 100 service. It has been working pretty well for the last year or so. Only a few hiccups, and I've been fairly satisfied. I have a Motorola SB6141 that I purchased new several months ago.
Tonight while streaming video, I noticed that my speeds were very slow - 14-15Mbps from Charter's speed test site. When I called support, they told me that this was because of the firmware on my modem. I am currently running SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.3-SCM03-NOSH, and they said that I would no longer be able to get the 100Mbps speed unless I rented a modem from them with 1.0.6.8 firmware.
Is this true, or am I being fed a line?
Thanks!
