Well all the years bitching about Charter being the only one in town. And how I cannot stand their service once it breaks. Takes long to fix. Centurylink has just recently updated our area. The max speed they offer now is 40mb/5mb DSL. $29.95 for 12 months. $70 after. Currently I am paying $84.99 for Ultra 100mb/5mb with Charter. I personally have never had DSL. Always been on cable. Now since my last major complaint with Charter. After months on end. We are talking 6+ months. They did fix our area with slow speeds at peak hours. 8 channel bonding is enabled and I consistently get my full speeds any time of the day or night. Now I also have phone with Charter for $19.99 Apparently my promo will be up in December and both internet/phone will be going up. Looking into Ooma for phone replacement in the near future. Feel like I am not on a leash now with Charter and have another option. BUT. I do not know once again how DSL is or how Centurylink is. What do ya guys think?
