Looking at switching to SPP next month when it becomes available as Iâd like 100Mb speed tier. Currently have two DVRs with all of the movie channels (except TMC, seriously whoâs going to pay $15 for those two channels), Sports Pass and HD Pass, with Ultimate 50 and phone. I want the closest equivalent to what I have today.
Looking at whatâs available in other markets that have already converted, the Gold TV package seems to include all of the normal cable channels, plus HBO/MAX/SHO/TMC/STZ/ENC/EPIX and the channels that Time Warner included in their Sports and HD Pass add on packages. Does that sound correct? There doesnât appear to be anymore Sports Pass, Movie Pass, HD Pass?
Iâd like the fastest internet I can get, which being in Rochester would be 100 Mbps, and I make a handful of calls every month to the EU so the extra $5 for international calling worth it for me. It looks like I will opt for the following service levels
Spectrum Gold for TV @ $104.99
Spectrum Ultra for Internet @ $99.99
Spectrum Voice International for Phone @ $34.99
Does Spectrum Gold include the cost of the first set top box? I know throughout the years, some TWC packages did and some didnât. It looks like set top boxes fees are $3.99 each, plus a set $19.99 DVR fee, covering up to 4 of them. So worst case scenario Iâd be paying $28 in hardware fees, best case $24 if the first set top box is included in the price of Gold. What is the $1/receiver secure connection fee?
For those that have converted to SPP and were able to keep your EDVRs, what is the monthly cost? I have one EDVR and one 2 tuner DVR.
These prices are a la carte for the services. Does anyone know what the bundling prices for all three services at higher service levels?
When I make the switch, I plan to do it in person, at the local office. That seems like it will be least painful. I just want an idea of what to expect.
Thanks
