I've had Charter HSI for 8 years. Starting a couple years ago, I had recurring outages after several days of heavy rains. Finally, a tech replaced the underground coax from the building to their junction pedestal -- maybe 50 feet of new coax better suited for underground use. The coax runs in conduit so the replacement was simple -- but why it took so many "service" calls and repeated explanations is beyond me.
Also starting a few months ago, I'm having periods of the HSI going down and coming back up. Sometimes to get it back up, I have to disconnect the power and coax from the modem then reconnect. After many a tech finally experienced the problem when he was here and referred the problem to a system tech. The latter said he replaced an amplifier and a "pad" elsewhere and all was bliss for a few days. Now I'm again having the same problem.

I replaced my Motorola SB6141 with a Charter supplied modem (same model) and no difference.
What can I do?
