Last night I was watching the Letterman thing and suddenly the whole screen said "CableCARD Firmware Updating" and displayed some frequency numbers. This lasted 40 minutes and then it repowered itself and went back to normal. Never happened before, I've had this box for a year.
I don't have a CableCARD, just the box with basic channels.
Why would the box do that? What is it for, normally? How often is it supposed to do that?
At the same time this happened, another box in the same building remained normal.
