I have a Charter cable box (Motorola Arris DCX3220-e), and I also have a rather old Tivo model connected (Tivo Dual Turner). I have recently purchased a Magnavox DVD-Recorder (MDR557H), and I am completely clueless as to how to hook up the Magnavox so I am able to record. I tried only connecting the Magnavox to the TV through RCA cables, and although I am able to view and access the Magnavox menus, I am unable to view my cable channels on the same TV channel (Video2), and I therefore cannot record to a DVD.
I would appreciate any tips on how to connect the Magnavox so that I can record
