Hello,
I have been a Charter customer for quite a while now. The other day during the afternoon I heard a vehicle pull up. Turned out it was a Charter truck. I have not called or talked to Charter about anything so I was surprised. I went outside to see what he needed. He asked if this was my house and I said yes and he said ok and that he got a report that my cable signal wasn't within proper range and that it was fluctuating quite a bit. I told him I haven't noticed any issue. Only thing I noticed was when my internet was out the pass Saturday (4/25 I think). So I asked him was it my internet, phone, or tv and he said he didn't know etc but he has to install a powered splitter due to the lines being all digital now.
Anyways he did a speed test to show me that my connection is now more stable etc. Ok so why am I posting about this. Well I think it is pretty cool that they monitor connections and try to help out when they can. Even though it is cool it did seem odd to me for him to show up out of the blue like that. Aren't they suppose to call first or something? Is this normal behavior for technicians to just show up? I mean he was an awesome nice guy and all but I would of liked a phone call or email first. Anyone else have this happent to them?
Thanks,
Dustin
