Do the Charter "line fish" tech have the right to open the ATT box and cut their wires? I don't know the answer.
Changed my landline phone from ATT to Charter primarily because of price and long distance.
Initially, Charter tech came to setup the system; she had been with Charter for 2 ½ months and had some problems for which she called a "senior tech" on her cellphone for advice. At one time during the install, she suggested that I buy a cordless phone system because of her difficulties.
When she finished, 25% of my telephone outlets, that were working with ATT, did not work and she said that I needed to get a "line fish."
The next day, a Charter contractor, who did "line fishes" came, but instead of doing a "line fish", he went to the free-standing central ATT telephone box that was outside, opened the box,and cut and spliced a couple of wires. When he finished, all of my outlets worked except for the one that the initial tech had damaged doing the initial install.
Charter is charging me $50 for a "line fish" that was never done, and hasn't taken the charge off my bill.
