I've been having some problems with VoIP these days. If my customers can't reach me, then saving $30 a month isn't really saving me anything.
I'm between a rock and a hard place here. I'm really starting to dislike Charter again, and I also dislike CenturyTel.
I've been kicking around the idea of bringing my published number to Charter Business phone service. Obviously I would have to switch my internet service over as well. I have zero interest in any TV offering from Charter.
A couple of things really turn me off about Charter Business.
#1) Letting their techs touch my "stuff". I have a strict "no Charter tech" policy at my house due to not one, but two, creeper / questionable incidents in the past.
#2) I still have my own modem. I don't want theirs.
#3) Install fee. I don't want them in my house anyway. I can install it perfectly fine on my own.
#4) Outages. I've seen a few incidents of widespread outages recently.
Anybody who actually has Charter Business service care to comment?
Were you able to get them to waive any of the B.S.?
Their pricing beats CenturyTel hands down, and there is no contract.
