I have sporadic upload issues. I notice it because I live stream to twitch.tv so when my upload has issues, I lose frames. Yesterday I completely lost the ability to stream for a couple minutes. It happened a couple times with several hours apart. I have no modem events for the past two days. Nothing was in there for last night when it happend but when my router can't ping the DNS servers, it automatically emails me and falls over to backup 3G. I have a peplink balance 30 router. How do I know when it is the router having issues or the modem or something out of my control? I use a motorola sb6141 cable modem. Other times that I have noticed upload issues the upload rate just gets too slow. It drops to less than 2Mbps. I stream at 2Mbps which is well under the 4Mbps rate that I get with the 60/4 service. I am tempted to get a Cisco modem to try and see if that is any better but since the sb6141 didn't have an event logs yesterday when this happened, I don't really know if a new modem will help.
I should also add that my modem signal levels are fine and they did not change during these events either. Thanks
