My town has few options for internet, but luckily Charter does service my "area." What they didn't do was run a line down my street for some reason. I'm about a mile from the closest line, which is at the end of my road.
Wire here is on poles, so it wouldn't involve digging and burying line or anything that intense. I know the wire itself, as well as any amplifiers wouldn't be free or even cheap. Labor and any permits they need also won't be free or cheap, but I'd be willing to pay a reasonable amount to get it done.
Does anyone have any experience or advice for me on this? Charter actually calls me to solicit service, and sends me ads. When I answer the phone, I ask the salesperson what to do and they say oh...sorry, hopefully we'll expand to your area. What would make them decide to expand down my street? Do I have to get signatures on a petition?
Thanks for any and all help!
