I'm in the final few hours of a 10 year run with Charter. I didn't really want to leave but I have to on principle. My one year promo ended this March and my bill went up $25. I called and was told there was nothing I could do to lower it. Fine I'll live with it since I have great service. A few weeks later I receive a letter telling me since I'm a loyal customer I will be getting a $22/month promo for 12 months. Well after 1 month of that promo I call to upgrade from 15Mbps to 30. I'm told twice my bill will only go up $2/month. Of course that was a lie. My bill has conveniently gone back up to full price. I call right away and am told my upgrade canceled the new loyal customer promo. I ask if there is anything that can be done and of course there isn't. So as a loyal customer of 10 years who wanted to upgrade services I'm punished by having my loyal customer promo removed (logic?). So long Charter its been great.
